FAQ
WHAT IS A UAV?
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard.
IS INTREPID DRONE SERVICES INSURED?
Yes, we are fully insured so long as we adhere to the rules and guidelines laid out by the CASA. We also carry extensive public liability cover, which ensures peace of mind when engaging the services of Intrepid Drone Services.
DOES WEATHER AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO FLY A DRONE?
Inclement weather can affect our ability to safely launch and fly a drone. However, our Drones are highly advanced, and the DJI Matrice 200 can even be safely operated in the rain.
WHAT IS THE RANGE AND SPEED OF YOUR UAV'S?
We operate some of the most sophisticated UAVs currently available from DJI technologies. Limitations on the altitude, range and speed of our drones is limited by CASA regulations rather than technology. Our drones can fly up to 58 mph (DJI Inspire 2) and are capable of reaching incredible altitudes. CASA regulations limit us to operating at a maximum of 400 feet (121 metres) above ground level.
